Impressario ("Rio") is a handsome dark bay gelding that is registered by the KWPN-NA (Dutch Warmblood). Rio is a barn favorite due his sweet, inquisitive nature. He likes to gently lay his head on your shoulder when you are cleaning his stall! Shown "in-hand", he was Grand Champion at his first USEF/USDF Breeder's Series show as well as been colt champion in several more shows. He receives high praise from all the judges on his conformation, movement and excellent manners. Rio is easy to clip, pull his mane, and trailers well. He has no vices.
Rio will be a big, powerful horse, maturing to about 17 hands. Even though Rio is big, he is a "puppy-dog" to work with and is expected to be an uncomplicated, affable horse when it comes time for breaking. Rio has excellent conformation for sport and has big, elastic gaits like his sire, Schroeder, the #1 sire of dressage horses in the U.S out of the proven Hanoverian dressage mare, Neele. Rio has a positive attitude and is eager to please. His temperament, movement, and trainability make him an ideal mount for the Amateur rider or someone that wants that special horse that has talent for the higher levels.
Well-rounded horses like Rio are hard to find, you'd never be disappointed with this big, handsome fella!
